BSKL was established in 2009 as the first new British international school to open in Malaysia’s capital in over 50 years. As a member of the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) group, it belongs to a premium network of 78 schools across 31 countries worldwide. The school serves approximately 1,100 students aged 2 to 18, providing consistent British education from Early Years through Sixth Form.

BSKL was the first school in Malaysia to receive “Excellent” ratings in all educational areas from the Independent Schools Inspectorate, and became the first in Asia to obtain COBIS Patron’s Accreditation. A-level results have ranked top among Nord Anglia’s Asian schools for three consecutive years, with a 100% pass rate in 2022 and 68% of students achieving A* or A grades.

Course Guide

Early Years (Ages 2-5)

The Foundation Stage nurtures children’s curiosity and love of learning through play-based education. Based on the UK’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, students build foundations in communication, physical development, and social skills.

Primary School (Ages 5-11)

Key Stages 1 and 2 provide systematic learning aligned with the British National Curriculum. Students focus on literacy, mathematics, and science while enjoying a balanced education including art, music, and physical education. Individual support ensures each child’s growth is carefully monitored.

Secondary School (Ages 11-16)

Key Stages 3 and 4 prepare students for IGCSE examinations. Students select from a wide range of subjects, deepening their expertise while receiving a well-rounded education. In 2022, 80% of students achieved A* or A grades in their IGCSEs.

Sixth Form (Ages 16-18)

The A-level program provides specialized preparation for university. Small class sizes and personalized career guidance support students in gaining admission to world-class universities.
