Prince of Wales Island International School (POWIIS) is a British-style international school with two campuses on Penang Island. With the Tanjung Bungah campus (ages 3-13) and Balik Pulau campus (ages 11-19), the school prepares students for IGCSE and A Level examinations. Approximately 85% of teachers are from the UK, providing high-quality British education.
Kindergarten
At the Tanjung Bungah campus, education based on the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is provided for children aged 3 to 5.
Primary School
From Year 1 to Year 6, education based on the British National Curriculum is provided. Students learn a wide range of subjects centered on literacy, mathematics, and science.
Secondary School
From Year 7 to Year 13, students prepare for IGCSE and A Level examinations. Boarding is also available at the Balik Pulau campus.

Access Information
POWIIS has two campuses on Penang Island. The Tanjung Bungah campus is approximately 20 minutes by car from George Town, and the Balik Pulau campus is approximately 30 minutes by car from Penang International Airport.
