Fairview International School Penang is located in a quiet area approximately 20 minutes by car from central George Town on Penang Island. Established in 2006, it is one of Malaysia’s most established IB (International Baccalaureate) through-train school groups, providing international education to students aged 3 to 16. Adopting PYP and MYP curricula, the school develops thinking skills and international perspectives through inquiry-based and concept-focused learning. In an environment where multinational students and teachers learn together, the school emphasizes not only academics but also personal growth.

Primary Years Programme (PYP): Primary Education

Middle Years Programme (MYP): Secondary Education

PYP is an International Baccalaureate (IB) authorized program for children aged 3 to 12. With English as the primary language, children explore familiar everyday themes while developing thinking skills, creativity, and expression. Learning takes place through six transdisciplinary themes (“Who We Are,” “Where We Are in Place and Time,” etc.), characterized by learning that transcends subject boundaries. Through inquiry-based education where students formulate their own questions and deepen their learning, the program builds foundations for future international studies.

MYP is a five-year International Baccalaureate (IB) program for students aged 11 to 16. Going beyond traditional subjects, students explore connections between real-world issues and academics through eight subject groups: Language and Literature, Sciences, Mathematics, Arts, Design, Physical and Health Education, Individuals and Societies, and Language Acquisition. The program develops critical and reflective thinking skills while emphasizing international perspectives, communication, collaboration, and action, aiming to develop students who learn proactively and can contribute to society.
